Dr. Ingrid Doorten is senior policy advisor and the program manager for the project Werk.en.de Toekomst (A Working Future). Ingrid studied Sociology at the University of Groningen and obtained her PhD in Sociology at Utrecht University on a study about the division of household labor in couples in the Netherlands: The division of unpaid work in the household. A stubborn pattern? (2008). Since 2005 she worked as a (senior) policy advisor for de Council for Health and Society, a strategic council for the Dutch government and parliament on public health & social issues. Ingrid has years of experience with the agenda setting of social issues and the translation of these in policy advice and policy recommendations.
