Student Tours
To get acquainted with Atria, students and teachers can subscribe for the free Student Tour on Monday September 24 or on Thursday October 18, from 5 to 6 p.m.
One of Atria’s librarians will guide you through the library and archive and highlight some special items in our collection that tell untold stories and offer new perspectives. You will get to know more about Atria’s activities and what Atria can offer you as a student or teacher.
During the Student Tour (English spoken) you will learn about the history of women’s emancipation in The Netherlands, with a focus on the position of women in education and science. Who was the first female student in The Netherlands? Or the first professor? Who are the women that advanced the right to education for girls and women and the possibility for achieving their full potential in society? And how did women organise themselves in student life?
