Atria was founded in 1935 and was then called the IAV. The Atria collection is one of the oldest collections on women and gender worldwide. The collection contains archives, egodocuments, magazines, biographical clippings, books, brochures, reports, theses, Oral History interviews, images and audio items, objects and documentation. More and more of this unique collection, is also accessible digitally!

Opening hours:
Tuesday to Friday: 11.00 – 17.00.
By appointment you can visit the library. You make a reservation via info@atria.nl

View archive documents
The inventory and description of all archives are accessible digitally. More than 30 archives have been fully digitized. Do you want to consult an archive? Go to 'consulting an archive' and fill out the form.
Request a copy or scan
If conditions permit it, you can order scans of magazine and articles along with sheet music and archive items, for 60 cents per page (a minimum charge of € 3). Requesting scans is only for your own private use, with acknowledgment of the source (author’s name, etc.) and if the digital copy is not distributed or stored.
At the library, you can make A4 or A3 photocopies or scans yourself for 15 cents per page.
You can request a copy by filling out the form attached to the collection item. On your account page, you can check the status of your request.
