Summary:
The book is among the first Bulgarian attempts to present the contemporary Bulgarian feminist writing. The authors (all of them women) belong to various disciplines (philosophy, literature, history, cultural studies, etc.) and they have different approaches towards both “women’s issues” and feminism as a theory and as political activism. The collection contains essays by Ralitsa Muharska, Zelma Katalan, Tatiana Stoicheva, Kornelia Slavova, Lilia Methodieva, Filipina Filipova, Krassimira Daskalova, Magda karabelova, Ljudmila Eftimova, Nedka Kapralova, Boyka Sokolova, Barbara Reeves-Ellington, Evgenia Pancheva, Milena Kirova and Miglena Nikolchina.
