Summary:
The four authors, who call themselves ‘De Harde Kern’, ‘the Hard Core’ attempt in this publication to establish he foundation for a new, contemporary feminism. They indicate on which terrains there are still no equal chances and opportunities for men and women. The book is a reaction against those who assume that the ambitons of the women’s movement have been achieved and that feminism is therefore outdated. Hence the book’s core concern is mapping and deconstructing the rhetorics of anti-feminism and introducing alternative view points. The following aspects are discussed: labour market, labour and care, redistribution, appearance, differences between the sexes, media representation.
