Summary:
Collection of texts illustrating the evolution and history of Romanian feminist movement, from its origins to 1948 (year of proclamation of the Romanian Popular Republic, under communist rule). This first volume is an anthology of texts covering the period from 1838 to 1929. The texts were selected because of their theoretical and political relevance. Also reproduced are a number of programs and statutes of women’s associations from that period, in an effort to mark the different moments of development of the feminist movement in Romania.
