Egodocuments

Diaries, written recollections and letters frequently provide a unique view of history. Atria has 260 different ego documents by women (mostly in Dutch). Think, for instance, in terms of a camp diary, a diary written by a baker’s wife between 1892 and 1898 in Friesland, or the 1899 diary of the woman director of a theatre school. Approximately 40 of them have been digitalised.
