Women’s rights advocates have seen their hard work pay off as the UN 61st Commission on the Status of Women (CSW61) adopted a set of Agreed Conclusions.

However much support Minister Ploumen has managed to gather for her SheDecides fund, it has also generated some fierce opposition with a strong voice here at the UN.

I also knew all too well that the current global wind of conservatism would still be present at the UN, especially with the host country being headed by that other yellow-haired populist.

After three days attending many different side events that focus on GBV and work, I’m impressed by the enormous determination globally to keep working toward solutions, and to get beyond the analysis of the problem.

Today quite a number of different forms of faith passed by. From true heartfelt religion to preaching to the converted to keeping faith in good results.

I attended the opening of the CSW61 in the General Assembly Hall, and got inspired by African female internet entrepreneurs.
