Irene is a junior Marketing and Communications officer at Atria for Act4Respect Unlimited. The alliance Act4Respect Unlimited was formed together with Knowledge Center Rutgers and focuses on the prevention of gender-related violence among young people, which can manifest itself in cyber, physical and sexual violence. The primary target group of Act4Respect are professionals from the fields of policy, education, care and welfare, security and justice.

Irene coordinates the Knowledge Hub in which informative events and tools are created for professionals aimed at the prevention of gender-based violence. She studied the Research Master Media Studies at the UvA with a specialization in Television and Cross-Media Culture. During her studies, her focus was on the representation of women and LGBTIQ+ groups.
