Atria goes Pink during EuroPride 2016. Atria’s library and archive, located in the centre of Amsterdam, host one of the world’s largest collections on women, gender and diversity. Especially for EuroPride, Atria offers the following programme:

• Pink Tours: visitors will get a unique opportunity to visit Atria’s archives and learn more about LBTI history.
• Moving Lesbians: during EuroPride, five short films featuring pioneering lesbians will be shown in Atria’s library and at the Amsterdam Museum.
• Recolour Wikipedia Workshop: join this workshop and help enlarge the representation of women’s and LBTI themes in the world’s most famous online encyclopedia.

Pink Tours

In the centre of Amsterdam, Atria’s library and archive host one of the world’s largest collections on  women, gender and diversity. Especially for EuroPride, Atria created the Pink Tour. A crash course on  the changing position of LBTI women from the 1960s and onwards. All tours are English spoken.
Tuesday July 26, Monday August 1 and Tuesday August 2, 6:00 pm – 7:15 pm.

Moving Lesbians

Some stories are too exceptional to neglect, even more so they provide an unexpected perspective on history. Atria produced five short films featuring lesbians who contributed immensely to the visibility and emancipation of lesbian women in the Netherlands from the 1960s onwards. Subtitles in English.
During EuroPride, these short films can be seen in Atria’s library and the Amsterdam Museum. Entrance is free.

Premiere Moving Lesbians

The official premiere of these films will be celebrated on Monday, July 25th. This festive occasion will be enriched by a groundbreaking performance of Lesbiafonia about the lesbian love.

Wikipedia Wikimedia NL will share tips and tricks for successful articles.

Recolour Wikipedia

In collaboration with Wikimedia NL. Over 90 percent of Wikipedia’s editors is male. This has a strong influence on its content and its themes and as a result LBTI’s are severely underrepresented in its articles. Help us to colour Wikipedia pink and to bridge Wikipedia’s gender gap during our Recolour Wikipedia Workshop. Wikimedia NL will share tips and tricks for successful articles.
