The Feminist Club #4
- Location: Atria Library
- Date:
- Time: 0:00
On the 29th of November, Atria will host the fourth discussion meeting of The Feminist Club this year.
The theme of this meeting is Feminism and Labour and we will be discussing issues like: part-time and full-time work, equal pay, representation, and child care. Being at Atria also gives us the unique opportunity to frame our discussion in the context of the rich (Dutch) history of feminist activism in relation to work and employment. (Like the above picture from the Atria archive which was shown at the National Exhibition of Women’s Labour in 1898, and depicts occupations in which women were not – or very rarely – employed.)
Don’t hesitate to join us on the 29th: meetings are open to everyone, from newbie to seasoned feminist, as long as you are open to listen, discuss and learn from each other.

About The Feminist Club Amsterdam
The Feminist Club Amsterdam started about one year ago, as a Facebook discussion group by people interested in debating and getting active on feminism and feminist related issues. It aims to be an open and informal group that extends its activities offline in an environment of respectfulness, knowledge sharing, debate and raised awareness.
