Workshop & breakfast in preparation for the Women’s March
Create (or finish) your own protest sign for the Women’s March at the library of Atria during the Woke Women Rise-Up breakfast!
International Women’s Day
For International Women’s Day on March 8, thousands of people will take to the streets of Amsterdam to raise their voice for women’s rights, equality, diversity and inclusiveness during the Women’s March 2020.
In the morning, Atria, in collaboration with Mama Cash, will organize a Woke Women Rise-Up breakfast in preparation for the Women’s March. It will be a morning full of creativity and activism where you will be able to work on your own protest signs or buttons. After the Women’s March, your protest sign can become part of an art work at the Stedelijk Museum, made by Fearless Collective from India, as part of the Mama Cash Feminist Festival.
We would like to welcome you during the Woke Women Rise-Up morning! Open a feminist book to find new words to fuel your anger, or recycle a slogan from Dolle Mina. This morning will be all about inspiring each other in preparation for the Women’s March. We will provide the materials for your protest signs, button-making machines, croissants, cake and coffee!
