Summary:
Heidi Mirza’s edited collection of writings from Black feminist scholars and activists provides a second and third generational perspective on the black feminist movement in the UK. New debates have been placed alongside ‘classic’ post-colonial feminist texts and ideas, enabling comparative analysis as well as pointing to the potential future. The use of the term ‘Black’ was in keeping with the preferred use of the individual authors.
