Labor and care

vader met dochtertje

Atria strives for equal treatment and equal opportunities for girls and women, including on the labor market. In the Netherlands, only slightly more than half of all women are financially independent at present, there is still a wage gap and few women are still working in top positions. In addition, the daily care for children and informal care for family members often ends up on the shoulders of women. Atria conducts research into the barriers girls and women face in the labor market and further careers, in combining work and care tasks and advises policy makers and professionals how to overcome these barriers.
