The article confronts the issues that affected and impacted upon post-colonial feminism as a branch of feminist practice. The historical legacy of feminism as a predominantly ‘Euro/Anglo-centric’ and ‘White’ phenomena is analysed, alongside discussions about the ways in which black culture has been framed within traditional feminist discourse.
