Summary:
The Hungarian Women’s Lobby is an umbrella organization of Hungarian feminist women’ NGOs, and it is the national coordinating organization of the European Women’s Lobby. The main aims of the association are to represent and safeguard the interests of the member organizations; to promote and further the full-scale implementation of gender equality in Hungarian society; to take into consideration the demands and needs of women, especially women suffering from multiple discrimination; to do consultative work with the Hungarian government and its administrative authorities in favor of the implementation of gender mainstreaming etc. The statutes of the Hungarian Women’s Lobby consist in the basic data of the association, the main goals and activities of the association, the rules of membership, the rights and obligations of the member organizations, the rules of the association’s work, income and financial management, the rules of disbanding the association, and closing provisions.
